This Privacy Policy describes how ProAssist Group LLC (“ProAssist,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the ProAssist website, application, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

  • Account information: name and email address when you create an account.
  • Chat content: the questions, descriptions, and messages you send to the AI assistant.
  • Payment information: billing details processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number — Stripe handles all payment data.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, session duration, and in-app actions.
  • Device and browser data: browser type, operating system, and screen size.
  • IP address: used for rate limiting and fraud prevention.
  • Local storage: a guest identifier stored in your browser to maintain your session before account creation. This is not a tracking cookie and is not shared with third parties.

Camera and microphone (video mode only)

If you use video mode, your camera feed and microphone input are processed in real time to provide AI diagnosis. Video frames are sent to our servers solely for analysis and are not stored or retained after the session ends.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the Service, including AI responses and session history.
  • To process payments and manage your subscription.
  • To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support.
  • To improve the Service through aggregated, anonymized usage analysis.
  • To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your chat content to train AI models.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate ProAssist. Each has its own privacy policy.

We do not share your personal information with these providers beyond what is necessary to operate the Service.

4. Data Retention

  • Chat sessions and messages are retained while your account is active and for up to 90 days after deletion.
  • Account data is retained until you delete your account.
  • Guest sessions (no account) are retained for up to 30 days.
  • Payment records are retained as required by law and Stripe's policies.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights including:

  • Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Deletion: request that we delete your account and associated data.
  • Correction: request that we correct inaccurate data.
  • Portability: request your chat history in a portable format.
  • Opt-out of analytics: you may opt out of PostHog analytics by using a browser with tracking protection or contacting us.

6. California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information. To submit a CCPA request, contact us at hello@getproassist.com.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 18, we will delete it promptly.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), authenticated database access, and session-based access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of material changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
